Hi everyone, I'm off work due to my pregnancy. My back is killing me and my husband and son are tired of hearing me complain. I hate complaining. I hate feeling tired and sore. I can barely move. However, it has allowed me to stop obsessing about how hard it is going to be with a new born and a 2 1/2 year old. Now, I am ready to deliver and to enter the next phase. Really, I am starting to feel more "excited" than "anxious".
Ryan is already bored with me at home. I think he misses daycare and the kids. Jim is a real trooper and spent his whole weekend chasing Ryan's golf balls around the yard and putting up with my emotions. Have I told you how grateful I am for finding this man?
Well, that's all for now. I'll keep you all posted.

Fun in the sun!!
Here's some more pictures of what we've been up to lately:
We fed Giraffe's at Binder Park Zoo. FUN!!
We had a Ladd Family picnic at Papa Ralph's, Gramma Ellen, and Papa Ts house. Cousins Ryan Riley, and Brendan had a lot of fun playing together. It was one of our best vacation days this summer.
There's still more exciting photos to come! Stay tuned.

Shower of Friendship
Sunday, my friend Cindy hosted a baby shower for me and I am still on cloud 9. Even though this is baby number 2, Cindy wanted to celebrate. I am grateful for all of the wonderful thoughts, expressions, and gifts from a great group of lady friends who attended. I hope they all know how wonderful it is to be cared for. I have lost touch with many good friends who I think about often, but the smiles and hugs and well wishes were really a pick-me-up. Thanks.
I really appreciate Cindy's thoughtfulness in planning the party. And for the special gifts for Ryan. The cake, as always, was delicious and cutely decorated by Linda. The gifts were all very "thought"ful and match my families personalities wonderfully (e.g. we love the Tigers, baseball, handmade quilts, memory books, & frames, etc.)

I'm still here!
Sorry for the lapse in "blogging". I have been on vacation and the time has just gotten away from me. I am also very busy at work.
We had a great vacation. Jim was off work too and we had lots of fun with family and friends. I'll keep you posted over the next few days as to what we were up to.
I am having weekly doctor visits now and he is convinced that the baby will be arriving sooner than my Aug. 15th date. It is increasingly harder to move about as I am sore all over and have terrible back pain. Other than that, we are getting really excited to meet our new little boy.
Here are some pictures of Ryan at the Battle Creek Airshow/Carnival. He rode rides for 3 hours and had lots of fun. At the end of evening, he screamed bloody murder because he wasn't done having fun. We're just learning how to deal with these type of episodes. Believe me...5 minutes of a toddler temper tantrum can wipe away 3 hours worth of family fun in a hurry.
