2nd Grade Visits the Butterfly House
It was a special treat to study butterflies at school and then to travel to a butterfly house to see the process in action. The kids were amazed at the flutters and you should have seen the smiles if they were lucky enough to have on land on shoulder or arm. What a great group of kids to spend the day with.
Pee Wee Baseball
We knew it would be a fun year of baseball with all these smiling faces and a Coach Wrona to lead the way. Sure was a fun season and we we've seen alot of growth on the team this year.
An experiment in making Root Beer
Ryan was assigned a special project at school with a classmate from another class. When they found out they could do a report and a science project in making root beer, the boys knew what they wanted to study:) We spent some time at home to see how the recipe would work. The dry ice is the magic:)

Papa Ralph's and Grandma Ellen's Easter
Shucks. My camera stopped working but, believe me....a good time was had by all. Thanks Papa and Grandma:)
Easter morning
We had a really fun and early 6:30 a.m. morning! The kiddos soon discovered that the Easter Bunny had come. There were eggs hidden from top to bottom and they were found in no time. This year, they were filled with a variety of coins and a couple of big eggs were stuffed with a buck. The baskets were filled with loot and Peeps seemed to be the most memorable. We spent a leisurely morning building the Lego Bunny and Lego Hero before jumping in the bathtub for some much needed scrubbing. Then we were on our way to Papas!
Easter Egg Hunt at the Beach
It's always a good time at Somerset Beach Campground. Especially when the fire department hosts the Easter Egg Hunt. A special treat is running into friends and looking for prize tickets within the candy filled eggs.
Afterward, the boys headed to Homer for an all day golf expedition with Papa Ralph and Uncle Rich. I enjoyed the day at home in the quiet. It wasn't all that relaxing though....but I got alot done and got to check out a couple of shows I wanted to watch on Demand. A good day.
Easter Eggs!
We enjoyed our last minute plan to color eggs with the Hawkins Kiddos.
We ended up with a ton of blue eggs. Shocker!
Aunt Amanda brought the shaving cream and food coloring to try out a Pinterest idea.
Tyler was acting silly. This pic looks like he dropped an egg. Ooops.
