Beachin' Summer

Hey check out some of the summer fun we are having on the lake. We really enjoyed the overnight visit from my brother Rick and his children Jake and Hailee. (Please no beached whale comments;)

Baseball Baby 2?

I don't know if this is carved in stone...but in honor of Tiger Baseball and Justin Verlander's no hitter, we may just have a name for our baby boy. Jim said early in the 7th inning that if Justin pulls this off, we will name the baby "Justin". Of course, this was just after I suggested "Micah Jordan Ladd" jokingly. Jim frowned.

Well, maybe we will have a Justin. Or maybe we'll keep you guessing.

Best Wishes!

Best Wishes to our newly wedded cousins Scott and Gerri who had a beautiful day to celebrate with family and friends. Of course the highlight for Ryan was not the "I DO", but rather, the horsies waiting to parade the couple away.
Afterward, we spent some time at Aunt Cindy's and Uncle Jack's house where we relaxed and enjoyed each other's company. Ryan really enjoyed the swans and playing with his "angel" cousin Chloe. Please see the pictures below as a reminder of what family and love is all about.

I'm doing well

I just got back from my 30 week checkup. Everything is going well. I didn't gain any weight and the Doctor asked me if I am still eating. Obviously, he doesn't know Carol Ladd...or else, he might be making up for that "You found the Refrigerator" crack a couple of months ago. Yes, I am eating. But I am also chasing a 2 1/2 year old up a mountain several times daily. (No, not barefoot...well, ...sometimes I'm barefoot and pregnant. hee hee.)

Jim was very sick with a migraine the other day. We are very thankful that he is feeling much better. He is such a valueable asset to our day's enjoyment and we hate it when he can't play.

We're gearing up for a fun weekend. Our cousin is getting married and we look forward to wishing them well. RyRy is also very excited because his Uncle Richie will be visiting from Chicago.

I'll keep you posted.

Parade Pictures

Here is a photo from the Memorial Day parade we attended in Brooklyn. It was a great morning and a good lesson for all of us to remember lost loved ones and brave soldiers.

Afterward, we had a nice picnic at home where Ryan decided that our UofM chip dip bowl would make a great helmet.
