Back to School Bash Pictures

Addison Schools put on a nice little evening of hot dog fun and jumpy things. The boys enjoyed the evening and I forgot I had some pictures until now.

passing time

Feeling a little funny. I think I might have a slight sinus infection or it may just be an emotional day for me as I am sad to think of losing GG. Jim went to the hospital this evening to see her and I am at home a little choked up and looking for things to do to pass the time. I hope she is at peace and that each of us finds the comfort we need.

So....here's a little more of what we've been up to lately.
Ryan and I were up to some Candy Making fun with a Wilton kit for Halloween. They are too cute to eat. Not! The boys can't stop eating the chocolatey goodness.

Scrapbook Pages

Getting a little scrapbooking done of our summer adventures. I love getting my Kodak gallery orders as I usually only order them about every 3 months when they have a 10 cent sale. I'm having fun trying to use up some old supplies.

Time for GG

We spent the afternoon at Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall spending a bit of time with GG and the rest of the Ladd gang. Grandma's health is failing her and we all know it is time to give her extra love and prayers. We loved the big smiles she mustered for us and she held on to Ryan's hand in a tender moment. We're praying that God gives her strength and comfort while he decides what is best and that he also gives comfort and strength to those who are spending every moment making sure she is comforted and loved.

Family Fun with Ipad:)

We heart our ipad! What a special treat to have Gma Vicki and Uncle Rich visit us for the day. After a long game against ND...the boys were showing Uncle Rich one of their favorite games. After I took this shot...Jim laughed and said, "did you see what I was doing?" Yep, I see those eyes! Now who has the last laugh:)

Picture Surprise!

What a sweet tlittle treat it is to stumble across pictures on my memory card that I didn't take! Looks like the boys were winding down from a busy day. Even Nugget was trying to find a comfy spot...Never saw him on the boys laps before:)

Frankie

I had a really good time crafting with my mom this weekend. Mom worked the cricut while I put together this Frankie Gem for the stampendous website http://stampendous.com . We bought some of the supplies at Country Loft and improvised on others..such as the bottom mayo container and cutouts from cricut. This was alot of fun to create and the kids are having alot of fun sneaking treats!

First Day of School

What an amazing day for our little Ryan who was so ready for Kindergarten. The school started at 9:00 a.m. and Jim and I took Ryan to his classroom and watched as he listened intently to the teacher's instructions for choosing lunch and type of milk. He learned what to do with his coat, bookbag, and folder each day. Mrs. Day must be psychic b/c she sat him near a baseball friend and the two chatted away and forgot the parents were there!

The day went by fast. Jim and I worked on some one-on-one time with Tyler and did some chores (shampoo'ed the rug and painted the wall....the painting here never ends!). I couldn't wait for the bus to arrive and it was a little late but I was so relieved to see Ryan's sweet smiling face jump off that bus.

It was obvious that Ryan was very tired. I had to leave for work and Jim said Ryan just couldn't fight a nap and he slept for about an hour before the baseball, football and any-front-yard-play-with-daddy game began!

On day 2, Ryan insisted on riding the bus as opposed to mom driving him to school and getting an extra 1/2 hour of sleep. He was alert and ready when the 6:20 a.m. wake up call sounded after a short night of staying up to watch Tigers and Tigers Live before mom changed the channel and said, "Get to sleep!" At 6:55 a.m. he ran up the driveway as I stood back and waved goodbye. I'm loving that he's loving school.
