Tantrum

For months, Jim and I have been limiting our excursions to quick shopping trips and few dinners out in fear that Ryan would misbehave. He has been a little booger in public on a few occasions, but each has been short-lived.

Last night, he gave me a taste of a real 2-year-old-temper-tantrum! For twenty minutes he screamed and whaled and kicked in his crib while I stationed myself outside his door waiting for a break in the tyrade. Not an enjoyable experience. I hope tonight goes better. I know this is the circle of life and I must admit that I still probably hold the record for most stubborn tantrum.

The Great Outdoors

For months, I have been accounting my laziness and fatigue to the long grueling winter. Boy, the spring days have been wonderful. They have been filled with walks, bike rides, trips to the park, front yard basketball, trampoline baseball, drive-way golf, and picnics. What fun! What fatigue! I was hoping that the burst of spring would mean a burst of energy, but the long winter has left me out-of-shape. Of course, Jim and Ryan are rearing to go. Have fun guys.

The Verdict

We had a wonderful visit to the doctor yesterday. The technology is so fascinating and we were told the sex of the baby. See for yourself and see if you can tell.
I know the picture is hard to see. Trust me, so is the original. Dr. Sammarco is 100% convinced that the baby is a boy. Dylan, Tyler, Scott, Bo, Diego, Ralphie...we're still considering a name. Thanks for suggestions.

Bring on the Spring!

It's getting harder and harder to get Ryan to come into the house. He loves the outdoors. He finally agreed to dinner around 6 p.m. and pooped out in the middle of the 6th viewing of CARS, the movie, this week.

Wanna Make a Bet?

Heads I win. Tails I win. On Thursday, we get to have our 20 week ultrasound and hopefully will find out the sex of the baby. Let me know before Thursday if you think I am having a boy or a girl. You can e-mail me or comment on my blog.

Lucky Me!

I hope everyone remembers to wear green tomorrow and to give thanks for all of the "luck" in our lives. By sheer luck, I met the guy of my dreams who has made me the luckiest girl alive. Luckily, I love my extended family. And I swear on my Blarney Stone that I will stop sweating the small stuff. Have a great St. Patrick's Day everyone.

Spring Fever!

Oh what a beautiful day we experienced yesterday. I almost didn't publish today because I haven't uploaded any pictures of the fun we had yesterday. After work, we never even went indoors until we had a late supper. Ryan jumped on the trampoline. We spent time talking with our neighbors in the yard. We went down to the lake to watch the beginnings of the disappearing ice. We walked while Ryan wagoned and tricycled and told us to turn in the opposite direction we chose:) We ended the night with a nice barbeque dinner and later, with Jim and Ryan's favorite snack...popcorn pop pop!

I'll post some pictures tomorrow. I hope your enjoying your day.

S.W.A.K.

Just wanted to wish my hubby a Happy 5th Wedding Anniversary tomorrow! We are taking vacation days and are going on a hot date...that is until 4 p.m. when we have to pick up Ryan at daycare. Thanks Jim for a great life.
Oh, by the way...we are getting suggestions on names. Check out Grandpa and Grandma's suggestion on Tuesday's comments. HaHaHa;)

The Splasher!

It's official--Ryan was the best splasher at the pool. That boy can swoop his arms and water goes clear across the pool and into the eyes of innocent by-standers. He even enjoyed the small pool with bubbles! We let him hot tub...a little...to warm up his blue lips. Dad had to run to the sauna to defreeze every once in a while too! It was enjoyable, only we didn't get good sleep and meals were a little hectic as our toddler had "ants in his pants." The biggest disappointment of the weekend was the fact that I didn't take any pictures. Our time with Hailee and Jakob and Ryan was priceless. Hailee is so brave...she jumps right in and goes right under.

I'm feeling alot better. We're awaiting our ultrasound on Mar. 22 when we hope to find out the sex of the baby. I'm starting to feel some movement and am growing out of my pants quickly. We've got a girl name but we're still considering boys names. Any ideas?

Headin' to the pool

We're ready for some fun. The boys have recovered. Ryan has giant-sized-toddler-energy and we are headin' for Weber's in Ann Arbor to enjoy the pool this weekend. We might even try to catch a flick. It sounds like a lot of fun.

Hey, we're thinking about a vacation. Let me know if you know of some real affordable and family family fun spots. We're thinking about Florida, but don't really know where. We might even consider a short cruise if any are more suited for kids. Any ideas?

Have a great weekend.

DinoRoar Ryan

Well, the boys are on their way to recovery. Ryan seems to have sprung back like a champ. Jim is progressing. It's surprising how resiliant kids are. Ryan ended up taking 3 different medicines and Tylenol when needed. He was actually pretty good about taking it...if I would let him do it;) He really liked transforming into a dinosaur for his breathing treatment. By the way, Ryan's a good little dinosaur, bear, catepillar, tiger, you name it...he can roar like it.
