Happy 2nd Bday Avery!

We enjoyed the day celebrating Avery's 2nd birthday. What a fun time. The cousins love getting together. The cupcakes were a big hit and Papa Ralph encouraged some cupcake silliness. The kids took off for the basketball park after the sugar went into the bellies. Ryan loves basketball and the only thing that makes basketball better is to be playing it with Brendan.
The day was truly a sweet treat.

Easter Egg Hunt

We enjoyed the morning hunting for eggs at the Artesian Wells. Tyler really got the hang of it and was grabbing eggs with two hands and filling his bag. Ryan had some tough competition and was locked out behind some adults and got a late start. Some of the kids in Ryan's age group didn't get any eggs at all. Very competitive:) Very fun.
Mom and I went shopping for the festivities next week and we really enjoyed ourselves looking for goodies at Hobby Lobby, Big Lots, and Meijer. Who knew you could find such good stuff at Big Lots of all places. I really scored some awesome scrapbooking embellies for cheap. Yahoo.
I'm three weeks into my transfer at LDT. My hands hurt and I wake up hourly with old lady hands. Ouch. I hope I get used to this soon and that there is no permenant damage.
The whole family went to church today after my speedy drive to mom's to help her through a diabetic low. She definately has an angel looking out for her. The boys enjoyed playing in the nursery. Jim took Ryan bowling after church for being such a cooperative boy these past few weeks. He has really become more independent...getting dressed, brushing teeth and going poopy. There has been alot less fighting between the boys and for that I am grateful. I'm trying to rest up and went to bed at 7 p.m. Friday night. The boys are so cooperative in bedtime. Many nights I am sleeping before they come to bed and they lay themselves down and go to bed with no troubles. Blessings.
We're looking forward to the week of the Lord and look forward to celebrating our blessings with loved ones next weekend. So grateful for a 4 day workweek too.

Getting Adjusted

Change has certainly taken place in our lives. I accepted a transfer offer to Delta Twp. GM and our world has been flipped upside down. Our greatest worry was finding a daycare. We have found a very special lady to take care of our boys....unfortunately the hours do not quite match up with our needs. My mom has been staying with us to help fill the gaps. I'm so very thankful for her help.

The work on the Assembly Line is very hard. I have been taking prescription strength ibuprofen every day and my body still aches...I can tell that it might be getting easier but I have many new jobs to learn and with each job comes a new muscle to work. (The good news is that it might be helping my weight loss.)

I continue to work my Clerk job too and that has been challenging with the extra hours needed to get to Lansing. There are alot of changes there too and alot to figure out. Ouch.

The change has been especially hard on Jim as he worries about my drive and feels bad that I am working so hard and not really working my mind. He tells me daily that everthing will be okay even if I decide to change jobs. I appreciate his support but want to be certain we are in the clear as his plant is negotiating a contract that isn't ratified yet. Time will tell.

We're looking forward to good weather and are looking into some baseball teams for Mr. Ryan who is hitting and throwing balls the last few days in our front yard. It might just be time to give up the lake for some yard space. I'm thinking the boys would make good use of a backyard baseball and basketball field. We'll see.

Sorry I missed you for so long. The last few weeks have been very challenging and I'm struggling to find some sort of normalcy. I'll try to do better.
