Reflection

I had to take Tyler to the Med Station as he was quite boogery and congested. He was given an antibiotic. In order to protect the other children at day care, it is advised that a child stays home until he has been treated by antibiotic for 24 hours. Sooo...today, Tyler is spending the day with Aunt Wendy (thank you, thank you, thank you). I woke up this morning with a feeling of terrible guilt because I want to be home taking care of my little guy. Unfortunately, we have a new and very strict attendance policy at work. Plus, I have been so terribly busy that I just couldn't miss today.

You have all heard me blog and talk about how much more difficult it is to keep up with everyday life with two kids, full time jobs, and full time chores. This morning, we let Tyler sleep in because Jim didn't have to get him to Wendy until 8 a.m. We got Ryan and all of the bags around and actually had a few moments to sit and play. What a weird feeling.

Ryan was sad when he learned that Tyler would not be going to school today. I explained that Tyler need extra sleep today as he wasn't feeling well. Ryan agreed and we said we looked forward to after school when we could catch up with our buddy. The ride to Adrian was really quiet. There was no loud banter between the boys, no giggles, no blanket tossing in the back seat. And it felt really weird passing off only one boy to Miss Char today. We all missed our little guy. I'm relishing this moment as a reminder that life is busy and sometimes a bit overwhelming. Chores don't get done by themselves. Responsibilities don't let up, but I am blessed with this sweet little family. Without them, my life isn't complete. I wouldn't change a thing.

Chompers!

My buddy Tyler is getting ready to chomp! He has two cute little teeth sticking out of his bottom gums. We had an enjoyable weekend that includes getting our boat in the water! Ryan wanted to go for a ride the second Daddy pulled up to shore. It is such a relaxing pasttime. Tyler fell asleep withing 5 minutes and I stayed on the boat even after docking it to let him enjoy a long nap.

Ryan and I are working on clearing a rock bed at our house. We need a place for a swing or a picnic table in the front yard while we play in the grass. (Just what we needed, another project.) Meanwhile, our decks are screaming for some attention. Hopefully we can wrap up some projects soon.

The rest of the weekend was filled with steak dinner (YUMMM), video games, visits with friends, and some chores before relaxing. The weekend ended with a perfect night of 3 stories, cookies for snacks, and night night kisses with no arguments. Life is good.

Here's a picture of the boys bicycle adventure. Ryan even shared his blanket. Tyler leaned on Ryan the whole ride and Ryan never complained.

Bad, Bad "Poster"

Hellooo! Sorry I haven't posted in a while. No excuses other than being busy. I have some cute pictures of the family to post if I ever get my pictures uploaded. We had a super fun retirement party for Dad Ladd. We always enjoy our family picnics. There were a lot of fun kids there and a few fun adults ;) (You know who you are.) I got to hold two little babies dressed in pink and they were so sweet. Happy Retirement Ralph.

It was a super busy weekend. I participated in a mom-to-mom sale this weekend and unloaded a good amount of baby clothes. We set up on Friday night and boy, let me tell you...it was a real struggle. The clothes are in perfect condition and brought me reminders of at least a million joyous minutes with my babies. I know all of you moms know exactly what I mean. By Saturday, I was fine. The sale was busy and there was a great competition between moms with the greatest baby/parenting stories. It was pretty enjoyable.

Later that night, we went to a fundraiser for my sister-in-laws great neice. It was at a bowling alley and was alot of fun. We hardly ever get out, so it felt like such an event. We had to skip out early as the kids were really sleepy and it started to get really smokey. Ryan had a lot of fun as bowling is one of his favorite activities. He spent the rest of the weekend telling everyone he saw about his bowling adventure.

I've got more to tell in another post. Talk to you soon.

Tyler in a box

Fun. Fun.

We're taking our last opportunities to keep Tyler contained. He has this basket full of toys and loves to empty it out. Afterward, I set him inside and he has alot of fun. Soon he will be discovering the world on foot so we thought we would enjoy this moment. He is so cute. And he is just lovable!
In honor of my sweeties and my new neice Avery, we are walking in a walk for March of Dimes in May. I know that times are tough for a lot of people (we're feeling a bit of a pinch too!) , but if you would like to make a charitable donation to March of Dimes, please contact me or mail me a check. (Even a small amount of even $5 will help) Or, if it sounds like fun...join us in a walk at Ella Sharp Park on May 25th, Memorial Weekend. It's a really pretty park with lots of stuff for kids. Let me know if you are interested.
I'll post again soon. I want to let you know how e-baying is going for Jim and I.

Playing at the Park

Helloo!

Hey, we've been kind of busy keeping up with the stuff that you don't remember you did....But I did want to share a couple of pictures of our park adventure last weekend when it was nice and sunny. Tyler enjoyed the fresh air. Ryan did too. We ran in the sand. Looked for shells. Saw a dead fish (huge). Learned to swing. Laughed. Smiled. Check us out:

He's on the verge....

Tyler will be 8 months old next week and he is on the verge of crawling and I'm sure there will be a tooth soon. I can't wait to see those smiles.

Signs of Spring

Not much going on. We're thankful for the the warmer weather, but we still haven't ventured outside. Check out my crew sporting spring gear (yes, we're ok with the pink) and baseball apparel. Of course we have convinced Ryan to set aside the games for some baseball viewing.
