I'm probably not going to be so good at posting my pictures that are taken daily this month, but I will do my best to share an anecdote a day at least. Of course I could share the hectic schedule, again! Instead, I'll share the perfect ending to a good day...
As you all know, Ryan is fascinated with Christmas Lights and is still delighted to yell out "Pretties" whenever we pass by a house decked out in sparklies. He especially likes the houses that staged scenes of baby Jesus. It just makes your heart melt and luckily a neighbor has such a scene elegantly glowing in their front yard, so we get a reminder of what the season is all about on a regular basis.
Ryan brought home the cutest miniature nativity scene the other day. It was a gift from Miss Char at school. Ryan admires the scene every time he catches a glimpse of it and we proudly displayed it on our coffee table. Last night, just before we went upstairs for bed...Ryan approached the scene and said in his cutest little voice, "Goodnight baby Jesus, Hope you have a happy birthday!" It was priceless. He seems to be getting what Christmas is all about...well, as much as a 3 and 338/365ths-year-old can understand :)
